It’s Dystopia Week!

I am just having the bestest time over at Tor.com during their superb Dystopia Week. Check out pieces like Gwenda Bond’s look at the dystopian upsurge in YA fiction and what it means, Ryan Britt’s take on the wacky film Zardoz, and today’s goodie, Mike Perschon on Vonnegut’s “Harrison Bergeron.”

Just to celebrate Dystopia Week, I’m going to dive into Paolo Bacigalupi’s Ship Breaker.

Laters!

Dystopia Love

Check out the goodie-loaded post on dystopia at SFSignal’s Mind Meld, wherein Mary Robinette Kowal and Paolo Bacigalupi point to Le Guin’s The Dispossessed (my favorite) as one of their favs, and Jeremiah Tolbert shows some love of the dystopian Half-Life 2. Plus, John Joseph Adams, editor of of recently-released Brave New Worlds anthology, shares his picks.
